Trip into the "Deep Freeze"

We had to take a quick road trip the other night. We drove 6 hours north to get a U-Haul trailer because it was the only one of its kind in the state of Alaska. We had reserved it about 6 weeks ago, but found out by accident that U-Haul didn't have it here in town and weren't planning on telling us until we went to pick it up. Yea, U-Haul. So, Bob scurried and found a 6' x 12' tandum axel trailer in a little town called Delta Junction, so we packed up the truck...er, dog and moved to Beverly...er, took a road trip.

It was butt-freezin' cold there! This was the temp gage in the Durango.

This ice sculpture of a hot-rod car was at the little hometown jiffy-mart/gas station there in Delta Junction. I guess that's the beauty of these temperatures...you can enjoy the ice carvings for months!
