My Favorite Big Brother!

It's been almost two weeks since Pete and his boys left, but I'm still on my "high" from their visit. We had SUCH a GREAT time!!! Pete and his two youngest boys (Caleb and Sam) drove from California to spend time with his two older boys (Zach and Mitch), attend his ex-wife's wedding, and see ME! Pete, Caleb, and Sam spent three days with Bob and me. Zach, Mitch, and Mitch's girlfriend Heather came over, too, and spent the better part of two days with us. Mitch and Heather brought their two dogs also. It was pretty "cozy" with everyone here, but we managed to find enough couch and floor space from everyone. I felt sorry for them, but everyone managed to maintain their smiles. lol

Each of Pete's boys are so different, yet I see Pete throughout them. lol It had been 16 years since I had seen Zach and Mitch. They came with their mom, Sharon, to spend some time with us in Florida, which included a trip to Disney World that they let Nick and I tag along on. And the last time I had seen Caleb and Sam was when I stayed with Pete for a night or two before our road trip to Florida for Erik's funeral. That was 7 years ago.

Mitch bought a cool new camera that would shoot pictures whenever the camera focused in on a smile. Really cool!

Heather is definitely spunky enough to keep up with Mitch. They are a really cute couple and seem perfect for each other.

Mitch and Heather's dogs are still puppies and so sweet. Rango had a blast with them. He really missed them when they left.
Just making himself at home! lol

Zach reminds me a lot of Nick...quiet, funny, into art.

Monday afternoon we all (sans dogs...lol) went to the IMAX theatre and saw a film about dolphins. It was pretty cool. First time Bob and I had gone to an IMAX threatre.

Then Tuesday we went to the New Mexico Museum of Space History. There are some really interesting things in there...my favorite being the history of the food they took into space. lol Food! Who would have guessed that would be my favorite? lol

Zach, Mitch, and Heather left Tuesday night, and I talked Pete and the younger two boys into staying one more night. While Bob went to work, Pete, Caleb, Sam, and I went to White Sands to try out the sledding. We had taken our Alaskan sleds, but they were too cushy, so Pete rented some hard disk sleds from the gift shop for us...and got wax for them. They still didn't sled great, but it was better than the cushy sleds we brought. I think it was about 368 degrees that day...no, I don't think, I'm sure it was! I trudged my fat happy butt up those hills a total of four times before I decided I was at serious risk for a heart attack. I asked Pete if he had a defibrillator in his truck. He said "no" but offered jumper cables. Needless to say, I have no intention of trying to sled at White Sands again until the dead of winter!

Sam and Caleb, my California nephews, are obviously Hollywood bound! Cover models in the making?

Pete and I burned the midnight oil those two nights he was here. We laughed so much! I was "exhausterated" when he left. lol I can't wait to do it again!

Hi Tracy. Glad you had such a good time with your family. I remember Eric in my 8th grade class with a crew cut (Mrs. Brice). Our classes at SJS were fun, wouldn't you agree? (Although we didn't think so then).
