Brady was in a baseball tournament in Ruidoso this past weekend. They made it to the finals and played two great games on Monday. (They played two "placement determination" games on Saturday, and finals on Sunday and Monday.) It was amazing to see how good they were at such a young age.

We were so proud to see Brady play. He's a serious little player! He was great, and I can see him playing in the big leagues!
Ross, the youngest, is a ball of fire! lol He is such a sweet, loving little guy with lots of spunk. He kept us entertained this weekend. He's into baseball, too, and won his league. He was so good this weekend while his brother played ball.
Here's Bob with his twin brother...er, I mean, cousin. Dang, they act just alike!!! Or I should say, act UP just alike!

On the way home Monday afternoon, we stopped at the Inn of the Mountain Gods and "donated" to the reservation. They have a casino that is a smaller version of what we used to go to in Biloxi. (Haven't ever been to Las Vegas.) We didn't spend much, but it was enough to have fun.
When we got home on Saturday, all was well with the animals. I was a little antsy about leaving Rango for that long because we hadn't since living here in NM. Earlier in the week, Bob had installed one of those "invisible" radio-controlled fences just outside the doggie door. O'Ryan had taken to sneaking out through the doggie door, jumping over the fence, and hanging out in the neighborhood. lol So, that had to be "cured" before we could head out of town.
On Monday, all looked well until Bob saw his Keen sandals that he left in the front hallway. Rango had hiked his leg on them. lol Bob must have been bad to dogs in a previous life because that was the second time Rango left his mark on a pair of Bob's shoes. (The first was on our first night of travel from Alaska to here. Different pair of shoes, too. lol) Bob said he "must have a piss-magnet on his shoes" because Rango is not the first to "bless" him. When Bob was much younger, visiting cousin Shawn, he wanted to take his boots off because they were playing in the yard and he couldn't "run good." Bob was concerned that Shawn's dog might chew his boots if he put them on the porch, but Shawn assured him that the dog would not chew his boots. And he didn't! He peed on them instead! LOLWe so enjoyed spending time with Shawn, Marla, and the boys. The plus side of living in New Mexico, is that we will be able to see family much more often than we did in Alaska. We plan to make the most of these next couple of years.
In closing on our Memorial Day fun blog post, I just want to say "thank you!" to all of the men and women of our military. It's a dear price that's paid for our freedom, and it doesn't go unnoticed in our family. I have the utmost respect and gratitude for all those who have served. Many, many thanks!
