Bob and I have decided that since birthdays are inevitable (as long as we're alive...lol), we won't just celebrate our day, but make it an all-month celebration! lol You can get away with more. Bob's
actual birthday was almost two weeks ago. I made him a carrot cake (from scratch!...carrot cake is his favorite) and it was excellent, if I do say so myself. On Chandra's recommendation, I used a recipe called
Gigi's Carrot Cake found on the Food Network. With a pound of butter, it couldn't
not be great! lol We definitely agree with the five-star rating given at Food Network.
We grilled steak and just relaxed in our backyard,
watching the hummingbirds, our cats, and the dog.
When we go out in our fenced-in backyard, we let the two cats out with us, but we have to keep a watchful eye out. O'Ryan, our little cat, thinks he should be an outdoor cat now. He has taken to "begging" to go outside at night while we're fast asleep! The spray bottle has found its way to my nightstand. Ü

I haven't actually tried to make it, but I have eaten it at the restaurant and its the bomb.
